Anti-Portrait
Using organic forms of those close to him to create anatomically structured compositions that intentionally obscure the identity of the figures. Aronson’s paintings offer insight into his philosophy on life, where relationships are allowed to exist without being questioned under societal constraints and expectations. The dynamics between people are unique and ever changing. His art reflects his admiration with the world and the relationships he has fostered in New York. Each painting is a window into a personally impactful social grouping from his life
Divinity
These paintings allow me to explore the divine with in ourselves. In an attempt to find spirituality with out the constraints of historical religious separations, David focus on symbols that open ourselves to each other and our world.
Mythology
These subtle fantastic tableaus represent spaces that both defy and allow space in reference to the dimensionality of painting. The symbols and characters are meant to open a dialogue involving myth and archetypal figures of our past with people of the present.
Exalted
Each Painting represents a person that came into David's life in a meaningful and positive way. They are the pristine first impressions he made with out the subjective filters of time and experiences.
